Job Description
Breakthrough Design Group is seeking a talented Web Developer / Designer for a contract position (15-25 hours/week) with the potential to transition to full-time. Your main tasks will include converting web designs into functional HTML/CSS/JS/WordPress pages and, if interested, creating and updating design layouts. You will be responsible for developing enterprise websites, web software applications, emails, and other web/mobile solutions. Additionally, you will assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) improvements and WordPress theme development.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Figma, or Sketch
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
- Familiarity with Mobile & Responsive Design principles
- Hands-on experience with WordPress
- Portfolio of currently active websites
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility (Edge, Safari, Chrome, Firefox)
- Ability to collaborate with web developers to integrate design and functionality
Pluses:
- Formal education or passion for art and design
- Experience with CSS libraries
- Strong interest in Typography
- Knowledge of SEO techniques and their impact on traffic
- Experience with WooCommerce, PHP, and MySQL
- Familiarity with Gmail / Google Apps
- Experience using Google Analytics
- Ownership of an iPhone, iPad, or Android device
