Working remotely changes your life forever

UX Research Analyst & Writer (Full-Time, Remote) at Baymard Institute

Can you craft detailed and compelling UX research insights?

Do you want to collaborate with a team of passionate usability researchers delivering innovative User Experience studies? Your findings will reach thousands of web professionals, including major global brands like Amazon, Google, Nike, and Shopify. Are you skilled at translating complex web user behavior into clear, engaging written reports?

If so, consider applying for the full-time remote role of UX Research Analyst & Writer at Baymard Institute.

Your Role at Baymard

As part of Baymard’s research team, your primary responsibility will be analyzing raw usability test data and transforming it into actionable guidelines for our subscription platform. These insights directly influence UX and UI decisions for top-tier clients, from Nike’s UI designers to Amazon’s ecommerce directors.

Expect to spend 50–80% of your time analyzing and writing usability findings—so a passion for both is essential. Beyond that, you’ll moderate usability tests, identify recurring issues, and propose design solutions.

While you’ll lead your own studies, collaboration is key. Your involvement in research phases will vary based on project needs, team availability, and your expertise. This role offers the chance to shape ecommerce’s future, publish research, and become a leading expert in the field.

Baymard operates fully remotely, with team members across the UK, Ireland, EU, Canada, and the US. Learn more about our culture in the Key Work Values section.

  • [7/7] A commitment to collaborating effectively—giving and receiving feedback constructively.

  • [5/7] Hands-on usability research experience (conducting tests, analyzing data, reporting findings).

  • [5/7] Skill in proposing design solutions for identified usability issues.

You must be comfortable working remotely and have 3–4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern or Western European time zones.
