We are seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to join our global team. As part of a leading data virtualization software provider, you will play a key role in transforming how businesses access and manage their data. Our innovative solutions enable companies worldwide to make data-driven decisions efficiently. In this role, you will ensure seamless support and optimal operation for our diverse customer base, enhancing their experience with our software. This position requires flexibility to work across all American time zones.

As a Senior Software Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of both proactive and reactive service delivery. Your technical expertise will be critical in solving complex software challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

• SaaS Support: Manage customer inquiries via in-product Intercom, providing 1st to 3rd level support, with a focus on 2nd and 3rd level.
• CData Virtuality Platform Support: Assist EU and US customers through ticket-based troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• SaaS Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve incidents.
• Setup and Operations: Configure and manage cloud environments, perform software updates/upgrades on customer machines (Windows and Linux via RDP and SSH), and support software and server operations.

Must-have Requirements:

Personal Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Self-motivated, organized, and responsible.
• Empathetic with a strong analytical mindset.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a curious nature.

Professional Skills:

• Solid understanding of database technology and Linux.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience debugging source code.
• Background in software support, consulting, or a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret documentation.
• Ability to simplify complex topics and work independently under pressure.
• Experience with SLA-bound operations and screen-sharing/phone support.
• Familiarity with bug trackers, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), and container platforms.
