As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Cloud products. We’re seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about taking ownership of infrastructure improvements, designing innovative solutions, and collaborating with a diverse team. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn new technologies are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices across the organization.
• Enhance product delivery speed and efficiency.
• Develop reusable templates, modules, and components to empower engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve large-scale issues for mission-critical services, ensuring long-term solutions.
• Build, configure, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead infrastructure improvements for CData’s cloud applications.
• Contribute to the scalability, availability, and performance of cloud services.
• Define and monitor production availability, downtime, and service-level metrics.
• Improve application monitoring and observability to detect performance issues and errors.
• Implement monitoring metrics and alerts to meet SLAs for uptime and performance.

• Must-have: Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Linux and containerization technologies.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes from both development and operations perspectives.
• 5+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
• Experience deploying and managing applications (Java or C# preferred).
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows (FluxCD preferred).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform preferred).
• Database experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with development tools like JIRA, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of messaging systems and APIs.
• Understanding of networking concepts (firewalls, routing, network topologies, etc.).

• Self-Organization: Ability to work independently with a structured approach.
