Patchstack is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (PHP/Laravel) to join our remote team. This position requires you to be based within EEST ±2 time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop PHP applications using Laravel.
  • Refactor legacy code for PHP 8 compatibility.
  • Write unit tests and document features.
  • Collaborate with the team and provide task updates.

Requirements

  • Located in EEST ±2 time zones.
  • Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
  • Experience with PHPCS and PHPStan.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficient in SQL and writing optimized queries.
  • Knowledge of SQL schema design and normalization.
  • Familiarity with MVC frameworks and SPAs.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Ability to write clean, reusable code.
  • Security and performance-focused mindset.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Vue.js, NuxtJS, AWS, or Python.
  • Prior development or remote work experience.
  • Knowledge of WordPress or other PHP-based CMS.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
