Patchstack is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (PHP/Laravel) to join our remote team. This position requires you to be based within EEST ±2 time zones.

Our Mission:
- Deliver a SaaS platform to detect and patch plugin vulnerabilities.
- Operate Patchstack Alliance, a community bug bounty program for WordPress security researchers.
- Maintain a free, open WordPress vulnerability database.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop PHP applications using Laravel.
- Refactor legacy code for PHP 8 compatibility.
- Write unit tests and document features.
- Collaborate with the team and provide task updates.
Requirements
- Located in EEST ±2 time zones.
- Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
- Experience with PHPCS and PHPStan.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficient in SQL and writing optimized queries.
- Knowledge of SQL schema design and normalization.
- Familiarity with MVC frameworks and SPAs.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Ability to write clean, reusable code.
- Security and performance-focused mindset.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Vue.js, NuxtJS, AWS, or Python.
