Receptionist / Appointment Scheduler at Service Center Pro

Service Center Pro began as a simple idea five years ago and has grown rapidly ever since. Our goal is to create a win-win-win scenario: our business grows alongside our clients’ businesses, and our team members grow with us. This role is 100% remote, including all training. In a nutshell, we act as the front desk ambassadors for our clients. We answer their phones, use scripts to assist callers, and schedule appointments for those seeking services. We’re the superheroes of the home and personal services industries! Here’s what one of our team members had to say:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must reside in the United States (we cannot hire from California, Colorado, Washington D.C., Florida, Illinois, New York, Oregon, or Washington). NOTE: We are not authorized to hire outside the U.S. Applications from outside the U.S. will be automatically disqualified.
  • No second job allowed
  • Type at least 40 words per minute with 100% accuracy (test yourself here!)
  • Commit to a minimum of 25 hours per week (applicants seeking fewer hours need not apply, as it would hinder your success)
  • Comfortable navigating multiple browser-based applications simultaneously while on the phone (think scheduling for carpet cleaners, handymen, and HVAC companies)
  • At least 1 year of direct customer service experience
  • Friendly and personable in all interactions—we represent our clients professionally and warmly. We can train you on the technical stuff, but your personality is key!
  • Reliable, punctual, and passionate about helping clients grow their businesses
  • Proven ability to contribute positively to a calm work environment
  • Proficient in using a Windows PC and managing multiple browser-based applications (basic computer skills are not part of our training)
  • Personal computer with the following specs:
    • Windows 10 or 11 (Macs, Chromebooks, and older Windows versions are not compatible)
    • 16GB RAM
    • Intel Core i5-4440, CPU 2.10 GHz
    • 2 monitors (we can provide additional monitors after training)
    • Hardwired internet connection with at least 40 MBPS, unlimited data, and no throttling (no mobile hotspots or satellite internet)
    • Webcam for identity verification during interviews, training, and meetings
    • Headset provided upon hire
 
Job Duties:
  • Answer 5-10 calls per hour for small businesses
  • Schedule appointments, quotes, and estimates (no cold calling or collections)
  • Use calendaring and CRM software like Housecall Pro, Acuity Scheduling, Markate, and JobNimbus (training provided)
  • Multitask between phone calls and computer work efficiently
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with clients via chat to update scripts and processes (and share funny gifs—our clients are awesome!)
  • Communicate transparently with management to ensure your satisfaction in this remote role
