Part-time UI/UX Designer at Semaphore
Semaphore seeks a skilled UX/UI Designer to enhance our Product team. Your role will involve crafting seamless, visually appealing interfaces for a global community of 50,000+ developers. We're looking for someone with a strong design background and hands-on experience in HTML/CSS, particularly with utility-first frameworks such as Tachyons or Tailwind.
At Semaphore, we've built an open-source, industry-leading Continuous Integration and Deployment platform. As we expand, our focus remains on delivering exceptional UX—simplifying complex workflows for engineering teams worldwide.

This is a part-time position requiring at least 4 hours of overlap with CET (9 AM–5 PM). We prioritize results over rigid schedules in our distributed team.
Your Responsibilities
- Design intuitive interfaces for our web applications
- Transform designs into functional HTML mockups using Tachyons CSS
- Collaborate with the product team to refine user experiences
- Ensure responsive, cross-device compatibility for all designs
Requirements
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio
- Expertise in UI/UX principles
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS, especially utility-first frameworks
- Ability to implement designs directly (no handoffs)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bonus Skills
- Basic JavaScript for prototyping
- Familiarity with Git version control
