As a Tiller Customer Support Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of customer interactions, troubleshooting issues ranging from bank data connectivity problems to spreadsheet formula errors. You’ll also educate customers on how to use our product effectively, answering questions like how to sort data or customize templates to meet their unique financial needs.
For many customers, you’ll be their primary point of contact with Tiller. By joining our team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional, friendly, and responsive customer service, helping customers feel confident and empowered in managing their finances.
About You:
- You’re a natural problem solver who enjoys helping others.
- You can commit to working five days a week, including at least one weekend day, with shifts of at least 6 hours.
- You’re proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- You’re eager to dive deep into our product and will likely have suggestions for improving our help center articles.
- You have at least 1 year of customer support experience or a background that makes you a great fit for this role.
- You maintain an up-to-date LinkedIn profile.

- A background or passion for personal or small business finances.
In This Role, You Will:
- Develop a deep understanding of Tiller’s product and operations.
- Spend most of your time in Intercom (our support messaging tool) and Discourse (our community forum), addressing customer inquiries.
- Contribute to the evolution of Tiller’s customer success program.

Position Details:
- 30-40 hours per week.
- Eligible for health insurance and PTO benefits after 30 days of full-time employment.
- Starting pay of $20 per hour.
- This is an hourly position with bi-monthly direct deposit paychecks.
