Remote Customer Success Manager at StarTree

About the Role:

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing sales team at a well-funded SaaS startup that is making waves in the industry. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales process by acting as the technical expert. From showcasing the technology to potential clients and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs) to addressing technical inquiries, you will be instrumental in demonstrating how StarTree’s solutions address real-time analytics challenges. Beyond sales, you will also contribute to post-sales activities, including implementations, optimizations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where you can directly influence customer success and the company’s growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical lead in sales engagements with both existing customers and new prospects.
  • Conduct in-depth research into customer needs and execute tailored Proof of Concepts.
  • Assist customers with post-sales implementations and provide ongoing support for their use of StarTree’s services.
  • Promote best practices, architectural patterns, and use cases both internally and externally.
  • Deepen your expertise in Apache Pinot and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to share customer insights and influence the product roadmap.
  • Work with Marketing to develop customer case studies and reference materials.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in Pre/Post-Sales or customer-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and Presto is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed software architectures.
  • Proficiency in developing or working with open-source technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and demonstration skills, along with a solid understanding of sales and post-sales processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure patterns and services in at least one of the major public clouds: Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of OLAP technologies and SQL.
  • Bonus: Certification in Solutions Architecture for Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Bonus: A Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics.
