Remote Backend Developer Consultant at Bitovi

Bitovi is seeking a Backend Developer Consultant to help us revolutionize technology delivery. If you’re passionate about building exceptional applications for clients and have innovative ideas to make technology delivery more collaborative, validation-driven, and efficient, we’d love to have you on board!
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’re someone with experience working on technology delivery teams and developing enterprise-level applications. You excel at delivering real-world solutions and platforms as a key team member, and you’re confident in communicating with stakeholders.
To thrive in this role at Bitovi, you should have:
- Proficiency in a major backend programming language (e.g., Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#)
- Experience with cloud deployments and management (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of observability techniques, including logging, metrics, and tracing
- Expertise in handling scaling issues, concurrency, and tiered caching strategies
- Experience building modern, microservice-based, or serverless web applications
- Strong skills in database schema design and development
Additional skills we value:
- Interest in working with multiple backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#)
- Experience deploying and maintaining production-level enterprise applications on Kubernetes
- Familiarity with durable execution frameworks or workflow management solutions like Temporal, Apache Airflow, or Prefect
- Understanding of queueing and messaging technologies such as AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
- Experience with authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., sessions, API tokens, JWTs)
- Proficiency in automated testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing
YOUR ROLE AT BITOVI
Consult and Manage. You’ll work closely with clients to build outcome-driven applications, guiding them through the process, identifying challenges, and solving problems.
Travel. This is a full-time remote position that requires occasional travel. On average, you’ll travel 3-5 days per quarter, and we’ll always accommodate your schedule as much as possible.
Teach. You’ll have opportunities to present at conferences, lead training sessions, organize meetups, and create content in your area of expertise.
