About Our Organization:
TrydaNi Ltd is a Community Benefit Society located in Wales, partnering with The Mobility Factory (TMF), a European cooperative focusing on pioneering a shared mobility platform, primarily concentrating on electric vehicle car sharing. In this role, you will be seconded to TMF for the full duration of employment, contributing to the development and improvement of their shared mobility software.
Position Summary
We are in search of a Senior Software Engineer with at least 10 years of experience and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. You will engage with TMF’s Flutter/Dart codebase; while experience with this specific stack is not mandatory, a proven capability to learn new technologies is essential.
This position also necessitates experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD system design.
Applicants must have a background in asynchronous and remote team environments, with strong written communication skills. An integral part of this role is to promote effective collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to influence product strategy and make a significant impact on the roadmap of an innovative shared mobility software product.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with TMF’s CTO to develop, maintain, and enhance TMF’s Flutter/Dart applications
- Enhance automated testing and TDD practices without sacrificing timely code delivery
- Review and refine existing DevOps and CI/CD processes to ensure a reliable and scalable structure
- Work alongside TMF’s Head of UX to align product strategy and roadmap with technical development
- Coordinate with QA/UAT teams (within TMF and its cooperative network) to ensure thorough testing, utilizing staging environments and/or feature flags when necessary
Essential Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of software engineering expertise showcasing an ability to learn and adapt to new technology stacks
- A solid understanding of the significance of code reviews and productive collaboration with fellow senior developers
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies, alongside proficiency in various ticketing/task management platforms (e.g., Linear, GitHub Issues, GitLab, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of TDD and automated testing principles, with a practical focus on delivering functional code
- Considerable experience in DevOps, including CI/CD system design and implementation
- Exceptional written communication to support successful asynchronous/remote collaboration
- Background in product strategy and roadmap creation
- A detail-oriented mindset regarding quality assurance, ready to conduct rigorous manual testing alongside automated methods when needed
If you are an initiative-taking engineer with a blend of technical skills and a sensible approach to problem resolution, we’d be eager to connect with you!
