- Lead and manage the QA team, including providing mentorship, training, and establishing performance objectives.
- Design and enhance QA processes, best practices, and frameworks.
- Oversee and allocate testing resources, distributing tasks among internal and external teams.
- Cultivate a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous enhancement within the QA group.
- Define, execute, and uphold the overarching QA strategy for manual and automated testing, ensuring compatibility with business goals.
- Create thorough test plans, test cases, and test scripts that encompass all components of the product, emphasizing functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Guarantee cross-browser and cross-device testing for web and mobile platforms.
- Develop risk-based testing strategies to ensure exceptional delivery quality.
- Supervise the creation and integration of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Assess and implement QA tools and automation solutions to elevate testing capabilities.
- Ensure the incorporation of automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and UX/UI designers to ensure a clear understanding of and alignment on product features and requirements.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies (such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives) to synchronize QA efforts with the development workflow.
- Maintain continuous communication among QA, development, and operations teams for seamless releases.
- Verify that the platform adheres to fintech regulations and industry standards, including security, data protection, and compliance testing.
- Review and validate test outcomes, pinpoint potential issues or delays, and liaise with developers for resolution.
- Establish and monitor QA metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to offer stakeholders clear insights into product quality.
- Oversee testing during UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring the product fulfills end-user requirements.
- Manage performance testing to ensure the platform can handle high transaction volumes and meets scalability criteria.
- Lead security testing (including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments) to guarantee robust defense against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure quality releases through conducting final validations prior to deployment.
- Participate in post-production monitoring and incident management to identify and resolve issues post-deployment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- 8+ years of expertise in Quality Assurance and Testing, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity, ideally in the fintech or financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
- Extensive hands-on experience with automated testing tools (such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with test management systems such as JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.
- Previous experience in testing fintech applications, including mobile apps, payment gateways, and blockchain-related solutions.
