Join the Data Solutions team to assist our new clients in configuring their data within Subscript and ensuring accuracy
Overview
- The product ✨: We are developing the leading metrics-first finance and billing platform designed to enable B2B SaaS leaders to manage customer invoicing, narrate their ARR journey, and monitor accounting revenue all in a single platform—no matter the complexity of the customer contracts.
- Your contribution to our team:
- As the first contact for new clients after they enroll with Subscript 🙌🏽, you will guide them through complex, data-heavy setups 🤔. You will connect them to their source data, assist in data cleansing and validation within Subscript, and conduct analyses that deliver maximum value 👍🏽.
- Throughout each setup process, you will ensure that ARR metrics, invoices, and accounting revenue are accurate and comprehensive, using data from clients' CRMs (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce), general ledgers (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero), billing systems (e.g., Stripe, Maxio, Chargebee), and spreadsheets. Our tools of choice include advanced SQL, external APIs, spreadsheets, and occasionally Python.
- You will be the fifth member of the Data Solutions team, influencing the role as we expand! Collaborate closely with everyone in the company, including our co-founders Sidharth Kakkar and Michelle Lee, who previously built and successfully exited the b2b SaaS venture Freckle Education, marking their second startup.
- Being a small team (only 14 members!), you will have a significant impact on shaping and enhancing our organization 👯♂️. You will enjoy considerable autonomy in developing and refining best practices and processes to elevate our customers' experiences and support our teammates on their journeys toward success!
- In the role of senior implementation manager, you will engage directly with new clients while also providing support to fellow team members who encounter new situations where your expertise can offer valuable guidance.

- While fully remote and asynchronous internally, our clients span the globe; you will conduct live calls with customers in California, Australia, or the US-East, necessitating a substantial overlap in working hours! Expect to adhere to US-Pacific hours.

Interview Process

Our interview procedure emphasizes your analytical intuition and your ability to communicate effectively (both in writing and via recorded video). As a fully asynchronous company, we will apply the same communication style throughout the interview process 🙂.
The interview will center on your capacity to understand, support, and engage with our remarkable customers 🤝
- Initially, you will complete a spreadsheet task that mirrors the type of data work you will engage in with our clients! This simulation includes opportunities to seek clarification on the data 🔢.
- Next, you will work through a SQL challenge using Postgres to demonstrate your proficiency with databases. We will supply the data and specifications for the required output, and you will deliver the corresponding query.
- You will then showcase your customer communication skills by creating a piece of documentation essential to the customer onboarding process, laying the foundation for their ongoing success! You will utilize this document to lead a live kickoff call with a new Subscript customer (who we will role-play during the interview 🥸).
- Lastly, you will have the opportunity to meet and converse with one of our cofounders. This conversation is not evaluative—it's merely a chance for you to learn more about us and address any remaining questions. We encourage you to ask any questions throughout this process! It's crucial for us that our company culture and work style suit you and that you feel equipped to make an informed decision.

Requirements
