The Payroll Systems Analyst 3 plays a crucial role in maintaining our Financial Systems configuration within Oracle EBS and ensuring seamless integrations with third-party and custom solutions. Key responsibilities encompass system setups, problem resolution, and production support tasks. Additionally, this role provides tier 3 assistance for the Financial and HR Help Desks concerning inquiries about our Financial and HR systems.
Moreover, this position collaborates closely with the Financial & Administrative Systems team to address the requirements of our functional owners and conduct testing linked to system modifications. Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration and Interfaces – Responsible for system maintenance within Oracle HR and financial modules, as well as managing data exchanges with our third-party systems (including, but not limited to, Workforce, PeopleAdmin, Jaggaer, Concur). This includes troubleshooting any integration errors and defining data feeds to various university system providers and external entities (e.g., retirement systems, benefits providers). Acts as the primary support for the university’s financial and HR systems as assigned, providing Tier 3 support for technical issues related to these systems.
- Involvement in Systems Initiatives, such as release upgrades or new implementations for systems like Oracle finance and HR modules, and third-party applications like Workforce, PeopleAdmin, Jaggaer, Concur, and several custom applications. Participate in testing, documenting, and implementing system revisions, while also documenting the connection between various system components (business processes, data, and applications). Identify business needs, gather requirements, and outline project scope and objectives. Recommend solutions or enhancements to business processes achievable through new technologies or alternative uses of current technology, translating business needs into application requirements for system design, configuration, or integration.
- Create reports and consolidate various data sets using multiple reporting tools (within the applications and OBI reporting tool). Involvement in testing updates to reporting subject areas, designing or modifying reports to ensure accurate outcomes. Respond to audit and public records requests for information, as well as pull data for metrics analysis and benchmarking (e.g., HelioCampus).
- Utilize knowledge of the system or module to uncover enhancement opportunities and leverage system functionality to guide business process design, thereby avoiding customizations and focusing on configuration decisions that yield the desired results.

The salary range for this role is $68,299 – $92,205, commensurate with the chosen candidate’s education and experience, taking into account internal equity.
