The Payroll Systems Analyst 2 plays a crucial role in aiding the examination, resolution of issues, and functional support of the university's payroll systems, specifically the Oracle EBS HRMS System along with its integrations, applications, and workflows. Responsibilities encompass system configuration, troubleshooting, and additional support for production-related tasks. This role collaborates extensively with various functional departments, IT, and the campus community, proactively engaging with colleagues and end users to identify enhancements that align with operational and business requirements.

- Engaging in Systems Initiatives, such as system upgrades or new implementations; diagnosing and resolving issues within one or more Oracle system modules as part of a project team. Responsible for gathering requirements, conducting testing, creating documentation, and implementing new system configurations. Developing functional specifications for new updates, interfaces, or workflows within Oracle Financials or other financial and administrative systems is also a primary responsibility.
- Identifying and resolving issues affecting the Oracle production environment and related systems, which includes analyzing and documenting problems, collaborating with module managers or end users, engaging with the IT development team, testing solutions, documenting fixes, and coordinating with impacted module managers. Managing the troubleshooting and maintenance of customizations, interfaces, and workflows is critical.
- Executing daily and monthly processing tasks, which may involve interfacing transactions within modules, reviewing outputs from nightly processing jobs and resolving exceptions, posting entries, as well as preparing and reconciling month-end and quarter-end reports. Generating and executing data queries and reports to obtain necessary information to support the F&A Division or the campus community. These reports will assist in analysis, document university activities, fulfill mandated reporting, and address audit and compliance obligations.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,972 – $78,139, dependent on the selected candidate's education and experience while also considering internal equity.
