Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical domain, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in penetration testing and red teaming activities, including expertise in network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, and scripting or tool development.
  • Minimum of 7 years in the field of information security.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity within technical teams.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in offensive security such as OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF, or pertinent SANS courses.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas: project management, network penetration testing, mobile or web application evaluations, social engineering assessments, exploit development, or reverse engineering.
  • Experience in delivering training or participating in public speaking events.
  • Proficient in Unix, Linux, Mac, and Windows OS, including Bash and PowerShell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of tools used for testing the security of wireless networks, web applications, and network environments.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, capable of developing documentation and articulating technical concepts clearly.
About This Position


As a key team member, you will delve into sophisticated Red Team or Application Security strategies, such as executing covert missions against intricate networks while maintaining a low profile, advanced manipulation of applications, and foundational programming principles. You will work alongside the consultants you supervise and contribute to the most challenging projects. Typical tasks may involve breaching a secured zone in a high-stakes client's environment or reverse engineering applications to uncover sensitive data without detection. You will operate discreetly at scale, pinpoint and exploit network misconfigurations, while managing a team of exceptionally skilled technical professionals.


In this role, you will serve as the lead project manager for all offensive operations. This includes defining the scope of potential projects, overseeing team performance metrics, setting quarterly objectives for team development, conducting performance assessments and one-on-one meetings, coordinating resources for various projects, managing multiple initiatives from inception to conclusion, and delivering impactful executive briefings.

(British Columbia & Canada-Remote Only*) The salary range for this full-time position based in British Columbia is CAD 178,000-218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are defined by role, level, and geographical location. The range provided in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this role. Individual compensation within this range is influenced by work location and various factors, including job-specific skills, experience, and relevant education or training. *Note: Disclosure as mandated by Bill 13

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee consulting projects focusing on advanced Application Security evaluations, Red Team operations, and penetration testing. Serve as the primary contact for engagements by providing subject matter expertise and project management skills.
  • Assist in defining the scope of potential projects, engaging in all phases from kickoff to completion, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Identify, promote, and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Oversee team members, providing feedback and guidance to enhance their technical and consulting expertise. Optimize Mandiant’s business processes and methodologies.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 20% as necessary.
