We operate as a SaaS enterprise featuring two distinct products: Spidergap and AirManual. Your primary focus will be on Spidergap, but you'll also find opportunities to contribute to both offerings.

Spidergap's mission is to ease the process for organizations to foster the personal growth of their workforce. We provide a platform where employees can receive feedback, plan their development, and take meaningful action.

Since 2017, we've held the title of the top-rated 360° Feedback tool and serve thousands of organizations in over 134 countries, including giants like Samsung, 3M, Sony, NHS, European Commission, Breville, Konica Minolta, and Philips.

We recently launched an ambitious initiative to broaden our product offerings, supporting employees in all elements of their personal journey. This includes revamping our product with the latest technologies.

About AirManual

Founded in 2020, AirManual aims to assist businesses in scaling up smoothly and without stress. We offer tools for documenting and automating processes, collaborating in teams, and assessing the overall health of businesses.

Currently, we're aiding over 100 companies, including prominent names like Asahi Beer, particularly thriving within the Accountancy sector. As with Spidergap, we consistently receive exceptional endorsements.

We're actively enhancing the AirManual product to assist teams with broader challenges that contribute to stress in smaller firms, such as managing routine issues that arise in teams.

Is this position a good fit for you?

You’ll primarily be developing and supporting new functionality using TypeScript/NodeJS/React.

Our workflow incorporates "clean" code standards, agile methodologies, and ongoing integration tools to effectively transition features from ideation to launch, while constantly enhancing our processes. Your meticulousness will enable us to astonish our clients and bolster our services and codebase in a reliable and sustainable manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating to deliver solutions from conception through deployment
  • Writing robust, modular, well-tested, and "clean" code
  • Proactively sharing ideas and challenges, providing insight and endorsements for design improvements
  • Supporting peers through constructive reviews
  • Assisting in streamlining our development processes and toolsets
  • Communicating progress, setbacks, and ideas with clarity to relevant stakeholders
  • Contributing towards exceptional customer support.

Our tech stack (Spidergap):

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js (NestJS)
  • Remix (React)
  • MySQL
  • Google Cloud

AirManual leverages a similar tech stack but employs PostgreSQL instead of MySQL and is evaluating the possible adoption of Remix + TypeScript.

You may occasionally be requested to maintain legacy solutions built with Express, Create React App, AngularJS, Loopback, and PHP.

Our expectations are as follows:

  • Enthusiastic and motivated about software development and life beyond work
  • Exceptional attention to detail, prioritizing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code
  • Minimum of 2 years JavaScript experience with production work
  • Proficiency with front-end libraries in a production environment, notably React or Vue
  • Experience with React, SQL, HTML, CSS, and automated testing
  • Comfortable working from home

Location specifics:

  • This position is entirely remote—it's up to you to create an effective workspace
  • You should be located in a timezone that overlaps with our team members' working hours—we will consider applicants located between UTC -4 (New York) and UTC +6 (Dhaka)
  • Due to local regulations, we can't currently hire individuals residing in Brazil, France, or UAE.

Benefits package:

  • Competitive compensation. We provide a salary that reflects the typical income (50th percentile) for your role, experience, and location, typically ranging from GBP £45k-£70k / USD $45k-$90k.
  • Annual profit-sharing bonus, based on company performance and individual contributions (continually assessed throughout the year, not solely at year's end!).
  • 40 days of paid vacation, which includes public holidays. We ensure you take full advantage of this!
  • Remote work flexibility. Provided your internet connection is reliable and you can engage in collaboration as required, you can work from any location that suits you.
  • Flexible working conditions. While you’ll have core hours overlapping with the team for collaboration, we’ll strive to be adaptable to accommodate your family, social engagements, or personal interests!

  • Paid parental leave for 4 months.
