As a Customer Service Representative, your role will involve managing calls for a client that offers payroll services to individuals utilizing self-directed Medicaid programs. In these programs, patients with Medicaid can select their caregivers, and this client ensures that caregivers are compensated appropriately for their services.
Contractors who enroll for certification between November 18th and December 9th are eligible for extra holiday cash! Check out the ‘Compensation and Benefits’ section below for more information!
Key Responsibilities
· Provide compassionate and professional responses to incoming calls from patients and caregivers, addressing their inquiries and delivering essential information
· Assist actively with enrollment processes, program applications, and setting up necessary systems
· Retrieve vital information to help caregivers with payroll-related questions
· Use de-escalation strategies to assist upset or frustrated callers
· Guide caregivers and patients to effectively address and resolve their issues
· Record information and outcomes as required
About You
To excel in this role, you'll need at least one year of customer service experience. Strong computer skills and the capability to offer troubleshooting support are also necessary. Additionally, you should possess:
· Empathy, patience, and a consistently friendly demeanor
· The capacity to manage sensitive calls and de-escalate emotionally charged situations
· Excellent active listening abilities
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Multitasking capability and adaptability to a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in working confidently with numbers and discussing financial matters
Your Home Office Setup
To qualify as a Customer Service Representative, you must have:
· A computer that meets the following specifications:
o Operating Systems: Windows 10 or 11 (Mac and Chromebook devices are currently unsupported)
o Memory: 8GB RAM
o CPU (Speed * Processors): 6
o Hard Drive: Minimum of 500MB free storage
o Sound: Standard sound card (common in most computers)
o Updated antivirus software
· Access to stable, wired high-speed internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please)

· Dual monitors
· A USB noise-cancelling headset
· A webcam ready for your certification session
Areas Where NexRep Contracts
NexRep partners with individuals in 31 states. The only states not currently included in our contracting efforts are: AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and WI. We are unable to contract with anyone outside of the United States.
Flexible Work Hours
As a Customer Service Representative, you can enjoy flexible scheduling through a self-scheduling platform, enabling you to choose your work hours within the client’s operational timeframe.
Operational hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM ET. Please note that the third-party client requires contractors to provide a minimum of 20 hours each week. Additionally, due to increased call volumes on Mondays and Fridays, the client is specifically looking for contractors who can work during those days. If you prefer to work fewer than 20 hours a week or have constraints regarding Mondays and Fridays, feel free to seek other opportunities within the NexRep Marketplace.
Compensation and Benefits
This remote opportunity compensates independent contractors at $13 per hour. After undergoing further certification to handle more complex inquiries at a later date, contractors will also earn a $250 incentive. This additional certification is anticipated to occur in January 2025, but is subject to change.

For each week you work between November 25th and December 21st, you can earn:
- If you work between 20 to 24 hours from Monday to Saturday, you'll receive an extra $30 on your invoice for that week.
- If you work between 25 to 29 hours from Monday to Saturday, you'll receive an extra $75 on your invoice for that week.
- If you work 30 or more hours from Monday to Saturday, you'll receive an extra $160 on your invoice for that week.
Thus, by joining us for the certification session starting November 18th and working 20 to 24 hours each of the four weeks from November 25th through December 21st, you could add an additional $30 for each of those weeks, totaling $120!
If you're eager to maximize your holiday income, join us for certification beginning on November 18th, work 30 or more hours during the four weeks from November 25th through December 21st, and you’ll receive an additional $160 for each week, totaling $640!
This is in addition to the standard $13 per hour you'll be able to bill!
Please be mindful: This promotion is exclusive to contractors participating in the certification classes running between November 18th and December 9th, and only applies during the four-week window from November 25th to December 21st.
