The Position

The Amazon Marketplace Manager will oversee all facets of our Amazon sales operations. This role is suited for a strategic thinker with an in-depth grasp of Amazon's ecosystem, including Seller Central, advertising, SEO, and fulfillment processes. The perfect candidate will craft and implement strategies to uplift sales, increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and enhance conversion rates by developing persuasive, optimized listings, making data-informed decisions, and ensuring top-notch operational excellence on the Amazon platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Marketplace Strategy & Oversight
    • Formulate and implement a holistic strategy addressing product listings, pricing, promotions, and advertising on Amazon.
    • Keep a close eye on marketplace trends, competitor movements, and customer behaviors to uncover opportunities.
  • Product Listing Development & Management
    • Guide the creative team in producing eye-catching main and additional images to maximize CTR and CVR.
    • Fine-tune sales copy using relevant keywords and engaging product descriptions to boost search visibility and conversion rates.
    • Conduct A/B testing to enhance conversion outcomes.
    • Ensure adherence to Amazon’s policies and guidelines concerning product listings.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Collaboration
    • Partner with the supply chain team to maintain optimal stock levels, timely restocking, and accurate demand forecasting.
    • Address any logistics or fulfillment challenges swiftly.
    • Track inventory performance metrics to avert stock shortages and surplus stock issues.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
    • Examine sales data, customer feedback, and performance metrics for improvement opportunities.
    • Create weekly reports to keep stakeholders informed about performance and enhancement areas.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including impressions, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates (CVR), and advertising cost of sales (ACOS).
  • Advertising & Promotions Management
    • Design and oversee Amazon PPC campaigns (e.g., Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands) to boost product visibility and sales.
    • Plan and implement promotional events, discounts, and deals (e.g., Lightning Deals, Best Deals, Coupons) to drive demand and attract fresh customers.
    • Develop strategies to redirect external traffic from social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram to our Amazon listings.
  • Customer Interaction
    • Monitor customer feedback and reviews thoroughly to uphold a positive brand image by ensuring:
      • The customer service team delivers an exceptional experience
      • The R&D team addresses any product defects
      • The marketing team rectifies any misleading advertising content to align with our customers’ expectations.
    • Devise strategies to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty on the platform.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with marketing, new product development, and customer service teams to ensure cohesion and support for Amazon projects.
    • Coordinate new product launches and expansions into new categories or markets on Amazon.
    • Engage with external partners (PPC management software) and vendors to enhance marketplace strategies.
  • Amazon Compliance Management
    • Stay informed about updates to Amazon's policies, guidelines, and marketplace trends to ensure compliance and adaptability.
    • Engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Who are you?

  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 3-5 years managing Amazon Seller Central accounts.
    • A proven history of driving sales growth and optimizing performance metrics on Amazon.
    • Hands-on experience with Amazon Advertising tools and platforms.
    • Preferred: A successful track record in directing external traffic to Amazon product listings.
  • Skills:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, FBA, and Amazon advertising.
    • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data assessment and reporting tools.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce tools and platforms; experience with third-party Amazon management software is a plus.
