The Position
The Amazon Marketplace Manager is responsible for spearheading our entire Amazon sales channel. This role calls for a strategic mind well-versed in Amazon’s algorithms and overall ecosystem, which encompasses Seller Central, advertising, SEO, and logistics. The perfect candidate will be tasked with crafting and implementing strategies to boost sales, improve brand visibility, generate traffic, and enhance conversion rates by producing engaging, optimized listings, making informed, data-driven choices, and ensuring operational excellence within the Amazon marketplace.
Core Responsibilities:
- Marketplace Strategy & Administration
- Devise and implement an all-inclusive strategy for Amazon product listings, pricing, promotions, and advertising.
- Track and evaluate marketplace trends, competitor actions, and customer behaviors to discover new opportunities.
- Product Listing Development & Oversight
- Lead the creative team in generating primary and supporting images that maximize click-through rates and conversion rates.
- Enhance sales copy with targeted keywords and captivating product narratives to improve search visibility and conversion.
- Conduct A/B testing to elevate conversion performance.
- Ensure product listings comply with Amazon's regulations and guidelines.
- Inventory & Logistics Management
- Team up with the logistics department to maintain sufficient stock levels, prompt restocking, and accurate demand forecasting.
- Swiftly address any logistics or fulfillment roadblocks.
- Monitor inventory performance indicators to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Examine sales metrics, customer insights, and performance data to find improvement opportunities.
- Prepare weekly performance reports to update stakeholders on achievements and areas needing enhancement.
- Track essential performance metrics like impressions, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates (CVR), and advertising cost of sale (ACOS).
- Advertising and Promotions Management
- Design and oversee Amazon PPC campaigns (e.g., Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands) to boost product visibility and enhance sales.
- Organize and execute promotions and discounts (e.g., Lightning Deals, Best Deals, Coupons) to boost demand and draw in new customers.
- Implement strategies to drive external traffic from social media, such as TikTok and Instagram, to our Amazon product listings.
- Customer Interaction
- Consistently monitor customer feedback and reviews to uphold a positive brand image by ensuring:
- The customer service team delivers an outstanding customer experience
- The R&D team tackles any product defects
- The marketing team rectifies misleading advertising content to meet customer expectations.
- Develop strategies to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty on the platform.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Engage closely with marketing, new product development, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive support for Amazon strategies.
- Coordinate new product launches and entry into new market categories on Amazon.
- Partner with external entities (such as PPC management software) and vendors to enhance marketplace strategies.
- Amazon Compliance Monitoring
- Stay informed about Amazon’s policy updates, guidelines, and market trends for compliance and flexibility.
- Engage in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Are you the one we're looking for?
- Experience:
- 3-5 years managing Amazon Seller Central accounts.
- Demonstrated history of driving sales growth and enhancing performance metrics on Amazon.
- Familiarity with Amazon Advertising tools and platforms.
- Preferred experience in directing external traffic to Amazon listings.
- Skills:
- Thorough understanding of Amazon Seller Central, FBA, and Amazon advertising.
- Strong analytical abilities with expertise in data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and project management organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms; familiarity with third-party Amazon management software is advantageous.
