Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Growth Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between engineering, product development, and growth initiatives. You'll be responsible for deploying features and conducting experiments that directly influence customer activation, retention, and revenue generation. Your focus extends beyond development to include rigorous measurement, continuous iteration, and systematic optimization.

  • Design and execute experiments aimed at enhancing activation, retention, and monetization.
  • Partner with product, design, and marketing teams to test and enhance onboarding flows, conversion funnels, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify user journey friction points and implement targeted, high-impact solutions.
  • Manage the complete experiment lifecycle: from scoping and development to deployment, analysis, and iteration.
  • Optimize current features to increase user adoption and long-term engagement.
  • Promote engineering best practices, including clean code, fast iteration cycles, and data-driven results.
  • Engage in team activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Qualifications We Require:
  • Minimum 5 years of practical Ruby on Rails development with solid full-stack capabilities.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, Stimulus.js, CSS, RSpec, SQL, Docker, and Unix Shell.
  • Background in A/B testing, growth engineering, or optimizing user onboarding processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently through challenges.
  • Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player comfortable with sharing ideas, working together, and participating in code reviews.

This is a full-time remote contract position requiring 40 hours per week. We are looking for individual candidates (no agencies) located within ±2 hours of Central European Time (CET).
