Your Mission

Take ownership of complete product components—spanning user interfaces, APIs, data layers, and deployment. You'll craft polished interfaces, engineer dependable backend processes, and ensure speed and observability in live environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver features across the entire technology stack, from specification to production
  • Create straightforward, well-defined APIs and data structures
  • Elevate quality standards through testing, typing, continuous integration, and developer workflow improvements
  • Track performance metrics and costs; resolve production incidents efficiently
  • Work closely with founding team and customers; implement rapid iterations

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in TypeScript and React/Next.js (both server and client-side)
  • Strong Node.js backend foundation with hands-on AWS cloud/serverless production experience
  • Practical database knowledge (document or relational), clean API architecture, and comprehensive error management
  • Background implementing authentication and payment systems (Stripe or comparable), including sophisticated subscription and usage-based billing
  • Superior analytical abilities: break down uncertain situations, apply fundamental reasoning, and deliver practical solutions within limitations
  • AI-enhanced workflow: regularly employ tools like Cursor/Copilot/LLMs for code generation, testing, restructuring, and troubleshooting—while maintaining critical oversight
  • Commitment to standards: produce sustainable, thoroughly tested code; prioritize transparent, straightforward designs

Bonus Qualifications
  • Background with web-based video editing/playback systems
  • Familiarity with Remotion for programmatic video creation
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience with SST or similar frameworks
  • Advanced AWS capabilities
  • Knowledge of observability strategies and performance/cost optimization for cloud applications
  • Experience with Vercel/edge runtime environments; server-side rendering and incremental static regeneration performance enhancements
